The Moyer Farms Story.
Moyer Farms started in 2011 as a small cattle and produce operation in Richmond, MO. Thanks to a lot of hard work the business has grown into a dynamic family business. We wholesale much of our produce to warehouses in Kansas City, but with the addition of our new shed and retail store in 2016, we have been able to expand our retail business. We specialize in green beans, tomatoes, melons, and pumpkins but also grow a variety of other veggies to sell at our store and at farmer’s markets. We have converted our cattle operation to 100% grass fed and finished beef and sell our beef in frozen packages at the store or in bulk (quarter, half, or whole). Raw honey from our beehives and Kansas City produced Tea Biotics kombucha (a fizzy fermented tea loaded with probiotics) are two other fun additions to our store.
Our most recent projects are the addition of more greenhouses to the farm, a hydroponics system, and a U-Pick patch. Our hope is to not only continue to provide healthy produce and grass fed beef to our customers, but to also create a fun experience for customers that want to pick their own veggies and enjoy a day in the sunshine.
We will always be a work in progress but with a little elbow grease, a bit of patience, and a lot of praying, we plan to keep bringing our ideas to life to create a farm that makes you feel good when you come visit us and that you can leave knowing what you purchased from us is fresh and good for you.
